WHO IS JASON KIRSCH?

I’m Jason Kirsch, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and founder of Grow X. I’ve been featured in top financial publications such as Investor’s Business Daily, Santander, and Financial Advisor Magazine.  Recently, I published an investment book called The Millennial Advantage: How Millennials Can (And Must) Be the Next Great Generation of Investors. I split time between Santa Monica, California and Las Vegas, Nevada.

I SEE YOU'RE BASED IN OREGON.  CAN YOU WORK WITH CLIENTS OUT OF STATE? WHAT ABOUT OUT OF COUNTRY?

Sure!  In fact, we can work with anyone who is a U.S. Citizen, even if they live abroad.  We leverage the latest technology to ensure clear communication and to make everything seamless.  As long as you have access to a computer or phone, we can work together. Note that we are registered with FINRA and not a SEC registered investment advisory firm.

WHAT YOUR INVESTMENT STRATEGY?

We aren't a pooled investment fund (hedge fund, mutual fund etc.).  Each individual client will be invested in a strategy that's tailored for their circumstances.  However, all of our investment strategies are developed in-house, through leveraging the most reputable unbiased research in the business. We pride ourselves on employing an independent thought process, not over-diversifying or copying index fund managers.

We don't label ourselves as either value or growth investors because different times require different strategies.  We strive to outperform on a risk-adjusted basis by stringently identifying and managing risk.  High risk primarily comes from high prices so, in any market, our analysis begins with our proprietary value metrics.

Cumulatively, and over time, costs will significantly undermine your long-term returns and leave you with a much smaller nest egg in the end.   And often, the biggest bite out your investment returns  is going to come courtesy of the taxman. So we ensure an efficient tax portfolio through investing in the right types of securities and placing them in the right types of accounts.

We keep underlying investment costs to a minimum so we don't invest in expensive mutual funds or private offerings.  Our clients portfolios are primarily made up of individual securities and low-cost ETFs.

Our approach is dynamic.  Your needs will change over time so you can ensure our investment approach moves in sync with your evolving objectives. Regardless of what stage of life you’re in, your investment strategy will appropriately address your needs at the level your circumstances require. Our collaborative approach will keep you confident even in the most volatile markets.

WHAT IS A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™?

There are a lot of people that call themselves financial planners but only the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification reflects the highest level of competency, ethics and professionalism. CFP® practitioners are held to a higher “fiduciary” standard than other financial advisors (we must act in our client’s best interests) and must abide by strict rules and compliance standards.  We have also have met and continue to maintain a set of very high standards set by the CFP board. These include industry experience, education, ethics and passing a rigorous comprehensive CFP® certification exam.

CAN YOU HELP MY BUSINESS IMPLEMENT AND/OR MANAGE A RETIREMENT PLAN?

Yes!  Throughout my career, I’ve managed over $300 million in employer-sponsored retirement plans.  It’s now more important than ever to provide for your employees.  The promise of a comfortable retirement used to rest on a three-legged stool: Social Security and Medicare, the pension plan provided by your employer, and your own personal savings. But the pension plans of an earlier era are vanishing. The so-called defined benefit plans of old have, for the last several decades, been phased out and replaced by defined contribution plans in which the financial burden and the decision-making is largely passed on to the employee.

In the new realities of the 21st century, that stool has grown a bit wobbly. Fortifying it, and helping your employees (and yourself) stabilize their future, is your responsibility—and helping you do so is the ultimate objective of our service.
